How can cooking relieve stress? According to a 2018 systematic review of psychosocial benefits, some of the many ways in which cooking and baking therapy can help reduce anxiety symptoms and perk up your mood include giving you a sense of control and accomplishment, while having a positive influence on socialization, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.


Benefits of Cooking For Therapy:

-Cooking and creating meals individually or with a group.

-Group cooking allows for socialization while preparing meals and sharing thoughts to relieve stress.

-Participants create nourishing meals for themselves and others.

-Methods learned in cooking therapy can be used for oneself, family, friends, and community


OUR GOAL:

Is to Increase self-esteem and improve psychological well-being, by decreasing anxiety and agitation through cooking.

As a chef who owns a catering service and taught many cooking classes, I personally witness people leaving our cooking classes encouraged and enthusiastic about the meals they prepare with their family, friends, and or classmates.
